Join ASISTA expert attorneys for a discussion on recent government policy changes most affecting immigrant survivors of crime and abuse. The rate of change in policy can be hard to keep up with, so let ASISTA help you distill what you most need to know to protect your survivor clients. Speakers will describe newer and proposed changes or developments on policies surrounding signatures, biometrics for detained applicants, and discretion in requests for deferred action or adjustment of status. In addition, speakers will share the latest information on earlier updates, like the USCIS Policy Manual changes to sections on VAWA and 8 USC § 1367 protections, VAWA interviews, and treatment of forms completed with the word “confidential” in the address line. In this interactive webinar, speakers will make special use of hypotheticals and audience polling to learn what colleagues around the country are seeing and doing in response to the onslaught of changes, to help ignite the braintrust’s creativity.
